Boardman, Ohio (October 26, 2007) – The Holiday Inn Boardman – received two awards from the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) at the IHG's Annual Leaders & Investors Conference held October 22nd - 24th, 2007.

The Holiday Inn – Boardman received a 2007 Quality Excellence Award, given to hotels achieving distinction in all aspects of their operations. IHG is the world's largest hotel group and only 146 of more than 3800 hotels were recognized for overall quality excellence.

The hotel also received a Renovation Award and was one of only 50 hotels in the system to be honored in that area. Holiday Inn – Boardman's renovations included TJ's Restaurant & Lounge, exercise room, business center, hotel lobby, and public restrooms. New bedding and a conversion from wired to wireless are also recent developments at the hotel.

Mike Moliterno, Rupen Patel, and Scott Yeager accepted the awards and were congratulated by Baseball Hall of Famer and Holiday Inn Advertising personality Cal Ripken, Jr.
